Tabitha was born on Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. Being part of a military household, Tabitha lived in Japan, South Dakota, and then spent the majority of her childhood in Saudi Arabia. At the time, high schools were not available, so she attended boarding school in New York.
